Meet Hannah Koehler
Can you introduce yourself?
I'm currently working part-time as a commercial artist from my apartment in Austin, Texas! I moved from Phoenix Arizona in 2016, and have been loving the beautiful nature and the warm Austin community ever since.
What’s your favorite form of creative expression or hobby?
I love experimentation with multimedia art, collage, video, and art direction. I also spend a lot of time imagining where I'll drive to next when I feel like it's a viable idea... solo road travel has had a huge role in shaping my home tastes and interests in photography.
I've transitioned to working full-time as a freelance photographer to working part-time out of my home in isolation, due to a chronic illness. I'm learning a lot in quarantine. Ultimately am hopeful for returning home to Arizona to work on some bigger personal projects in the next couple years, although I see Austin as my second hometown. I hope to return to normal photo work in the next year, I'm missing the amazing small festivals and local artists I used to love working with!
This year I'm trying just to be here, now, and learn all that I can.
